Installation guide:
Materials and tools we advise you to use to install the panels to your desired place:
- 1. Gypsum/plasterboard adhesive.
- 2. Notched trowel for applying the adhesive on the panels and wall.
- 3. Diamond blade/hacksaw or fine tooth saw/blade to preserve a fine surface and prevent breakage and crumbling.
Gypsum panels must be installed on a flat base and even walls. Unevenness must be plastered and the surface must be treated with a deep penetration primer. You can check if the wall is even using a spirit level. The adhesive composition needs to be applied on the wall, where the panel will be glued, and on the panel itself. We recommend using a gypsum based adhesive for attaching the gypsum panels to the wall. The gypsum component in the adhesive solution will provide better adhesion between the wall and the panel. The adhesive must be applied to the place of gluing with a notched trowel and needs to be evenly distributed on the surface. The panel needs to be placed on the wall of the marked area. It grips quickly, so you need to attach the panel with high precision. Sometimes there is no time to move the panel to the marked area. The next panels have to be glued, guided by the first element. Gypsum panels can be glued without problems by tightly adhering to each other, but we still recommend leaving a distance of 1-3 mm between the elements. The size of the gypsum panel can be adjusted by simply cutting the panel. After cutting, smooth with extra fine sandpaper. Open joints must be filled with plaster/finishing screed.
Should you wish to paint the panels we recommend using a primer before painting. A primer is a preparatory coating put on materials before painting and ensures better adhesion of paint to the surface. Increases paint durability, and provides additional protection for the material being painted. For best results you can use a good-quality acrylic latex paint or water-based paint as well as a paintbrush, velour roller or spray.
Not recommended for installation in bathrooms or outdoors.
